Troubleshooting

How do I perform a hard reboot on my charge point?

A hard reboot (or power cycle) completely turns the power to your charge point off and back on again. This can help restore your charge point if it becomes unresponsive or loses its network connection.

A hard reboot (or power cycle) completely turns the power to your charge point off and back on again. This can help restore your charge point if it becomes unresponsive or loses its network connection.

How to safely reboot your charger:

  • Unplug your vehicle: Before doing anything else, make sure your vehicle is completely disconnected from the charge point.
  • Locate the power switch: You will need to isolate the electrical power using the dedicated switch for your charge point:
  • If installed by an Andersen installer: There will be an Andersen-labelled switch, breaker, or fuse box that was pointed out to you on your installation day.
  • If installed by a third-party electrician: If you are unsure where your isolation switch is or how to use it safely, please contact your original installer for advice.
  • Power off: Flip the switch to turn the power to the charge point off and leave it off for around 30 seconds.
  • Power on: Turn the switch back on to allow the unit to reboot.

Safety Warning: Do not attempt to open the main charge point housing or carry out any electrical maintenance work yourself.

If you have completed these steps and your charge point remains unresponsive, please contact us for assistance.
