Supplement with Grid Power allows your charger to use electricity from the grid alongside your available solar energy. This helps maintain a steady charging speed even when the weather changes.

How it balances your power:

- Solar generation rises and falls throughout the day depending on clouds, the time of day, and how much energy you are using inside the house.

  • If solar energy alone isn't enough to reach your chosen charging speed, this feature automatically pulls just enough electricity from the grid to make up the difference.
  • If your panels are generating plenty of power, your charger will happily rely entirely on the sun without drawing a single watt from the grid.

Choosing your setup:

- To charge using only available solar energy: Leave Supplement with Grid Power turned OFF.

  • To guarantee a consistent charge rate: Turn Supplement with Grid Power ON and choose your preferred charge rate.

Please note: The way this feature behaves varies significantly depending on whether you use Andersen schedules. To find out exactly how to set this up for your routine, please see our full guide: "How can I charge my vehicle using excess solar power during the day?".
