The connector of your A2 is a type 2 connector. This connector is what goes into the charge port of your car. Once plugged in to your car, you will hear a click sound coming (the electrical contactor) from your A2 which indicates charging has started.
Most cars require that you unlock your charge port before removing the connector and stowing it back into your A2.
